[He's had a very long day so he cuts right to it:]

I'm Trevor's warden for the month. He recently set a vampire on fire, so for the time being he's going to be staying with me. He mentioned he was staying with you already, and I'm not interested in isolating him from his friends, so: is it all right with you if he keeps spending two or three nights a week with you?

Bearing in mind he has new rules to follow.

[Adrian doesn't actually sleep properly too often, and rousing himself and immediate having all that dropped on him in the same moment leaves him silent a moment. The only sound is a puppy shuffling about, slightly disturbed.]

He set--Right.

[That's the easy part. It's just buying him time to wake up. Not interested in isolating him from his friends. How magnanimous. It is perhaps an ability unique to Alucard to sound frosty and condescending while still half asleep.]
