[Trevor's first night on the Barge is...rough. He's in his actual bedroom. In a bed he hasn't seen or slept in for about ten years. He's alone, which didn't used to bother him before he and Sypha started to share the same bed, and he keeps waking up expecting to feel her next to him.
Now he's plagued by nightmares that all faintly smell like ash.
Cranky and overtired after the fifth time of waking up from a dead sleep, he rolls out of bed. Grabs a pillow and his cloak. And heads upstairs to knock on Adrian's door]
[After the greenhouse explosion, and after realizing that there were more than enough hands to assist - something that's honestly something of a relief to the antisocial Trevor, used to the dregs of humanity - he heads down below to Adrian's room to patch up his hands and check on his friend.
Especially given that Rags was one of the bodies pulled out.]
Oy. Just wanted to let you and a few other people know that there's someone on this ship who can mimic me and probably others. Found him beating up on Dorian wearing my face.
So if we see each other, maybe it's best if we come up with a code word, or you ask me a question that only I'd know the answer to.
[He's had a very long day so he cuts right to it:]
I'm Trevor's warden for the month. He recently set a vampire on fire, so for the time being he's going to be staying with me. He mentioned he was staying with you already, and I'm not interested in isolating him from his friends, so: is it all right with you if he keeps spending two or three nights a week with you?
[...he can't say he's impressed by whatever plan of the Titan's the Admiral's this is. Just... handing him off down the lineage, apparently. If Trevor graduates before him he rather expects he'll be put under his watch next.
Still. A lifetime of duty means he's not about to ignore when someone has been made his direct superior, even if he doesn't like it. And he's feeling more or less fully recovered by this point, just exhausted rather than nauseous and aching at a minimum, so. Time to seek out Adrian, starting with his room. He'll knock, at least, and wait for a response. He's not fully expecting one, given how big the ship is, but it's somewhere to start.]
Sypha has no impulse to throw her communicator overboard, but she's still coming to find Alucard in person. Trevor's told her where Rags' room is, so that's where she's starting. If he's not there, she'll widen her search.
[Well, after last time Adrian probably knows to expect Hunter at his door within very short order of the announcement.
This time, however, knowing that it's seemingly permanent makes Hunter a lot more tense when he does knock, and the gu Taylor gave him is curling around his forearm, digging sharp feet into his sleeve and curiously wiggling its antenna at the door as Hunter scritches idly at its chitinous segments.]
[The concept of having to ask Adrian for anything is... it's not demeaning, exactly, but he still doesn't like it. He's used to just demanding it from scouts or getting it on his own somehow, but having to ask to be able to use magic is weird and unusual.
It also takes him like half an hour to stop overthinking how to actually ask, a solid several minutes of which is just spent debating with himself whether to call Adrian 'sir' before he ultimately decides against it.]
Adrian. I... need to make a request. From you. A-as a warden. My warden, I mean.

My name is Zack, and I’ve been assigned to your father as his permanent Warden.
He mentioned you were here when I talked to him so I thought it might be good for us to talk too? If you don’t mind.
Just let me know if you want to and where you’d like to meet, if so.

Whose room are we sleeping in? Yours or Sypha's?
Sypha's is warmer. Cheerier. But it's smaller. And yours is big and open but it's stupidly cold, like a crypt. Sad and sterile.
